MY “about page”…

A Preface:

I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis, and the things that is almost the dead giveaway that shows any blog as being coy and amateurish is the about page. THIS is my about page! I think most bloggers dread this little means for the rest of the world to lift up the rock we collectively reside under (OK, this may be overselling my point…).

I’ve decided to try to update this little page of personal horrors on a more regular basis (while archiving previous efforts for everyone to see if it was worth it!).

So, here’s my latest effort…

This blog is starting to evolve again… I was teaching in South Korea for the last year, and this page (as with the rest of this blog) was my attempt to create a bit of back-story to give some context to my posts.

Well, I am back in the USA now, and I am still an itinerant teacher (sounds better than teacher without portfolio, especially when considering how portfolios are used in the business these days… net result…no job!). I have decided that while I have the time and wherewithal, I should delve into some of the obvious topics I was dealing with in Education school (oxymoron alert here!).

I spent time in Korea trying to develop some worthwhile teaching skills, and I think I acquitted myself well enough. I am now trying to get a deeper idea of what education really is, before I become too deeply involved in the day to day aspects of just taking care of business as a teacher…

By the way, you get to grade me on how well I am doing…
